• If a game goes to the end of the match with an even score, it will extend to extra time. The match will continue for 30 more minutes, with two 15 minute halves.
• If the match is still a draw after the end of extra time, the match will go into a penalty shoot-out. Each team will get 5 chances to score from the spot-kicks. It will further continue until the tie is broken.
• For fouls committed, the game referee can show the yellow or red card to a player committing a foul. A yellow card is a warning. A red card, however, will send the player completely out of the pitch with a one-match ban. Two yellow cards for the same player in a match will also lead to a red card and suspension from the match for the player.
• Throw-ins are called when the ball crosses the side-lines. Corners will be awarded to the opposing team when a player sends the ball behind the goalpost of his side. Goal kicks are when the opposing team kicks the ball behind the goalpost of the other team.
• The offside rule of football is when a player is in front of the last defender when a pass is played through them.
